Scrimmage observations: Oct. 11
The Wildcats scrimmaged on Friday morning at Kentucky Proud Park.
On Friday morning, the Kentucky baseball team scrimmaged at Kentucky Proud Park. The Wildcats are off tomorrow and will return for a scrimmage on Sunday at noon. All stats listed below are unofficial and a product of my bookkeeping. Players move around positions, get extra at-bats at times, etc. The observations section is probably what should be focused on more than unofficial stats. However, the Black team won 8-4.
Here are some takeaways from Friday’s scrimmage, but first, catch up on other fall coverage from Bat Cats Central:
Today’s lineups
Black team
SS Luke Lawrence — 2-4, triple
3B Patrick Herrera — 1-3
1B Dylan Koontz — 0-3
2B Kyuss Gargett — 0-3

RF Carson Hansen — 1-3
CF Griffin Cameron — 0-2
EH/C Nolan Belcher — 1-1*
DH Hayden Mains — 0-1, BB, sac
C Devin Burkes — 0-0, sac, HBP
* It was determined that Cameron moved out of the way of a pitch and his at-bat ended, meaning Belcher took over on a 3-2 count. He struck out, but I’m not counting that AB against him.
Pitchers: LHP Ben Cleaver, RHP Tristan Hunter, RHP Simon Gregersen

RF Shaun Montoya — 1-3, home run
3B Ethan Hindle — 1-3, home run, walk
